Akzo Nobel’s Roland Taube Assumes Vice-Chair Position with I-CAR Education Foundation; Tom Moreland Selected as Member of I-CAR International Executive Committee
Akzo Nobel has announced that the I-CAR Education Foundation has selected Roland Taube, market manager for the Car Refinishes Canadian Market, vice-chair for the 2007/2008 Board of Trustees and Executive Committee. The company also announced that Tom Moreland, director of strategic accounts, has been selected as a member of the 2007/2008 I-CAR International Executive Committee. He will hold the position of member-at-large.
ASE Board Announces Staff Changes
The Board of Directors of the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) has announced several staff changes within the organization. The board has named COO/CFO Tim Zilke to succeed Ron Weiner, ASE’s president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2008. Weiner has served as ASE’s president and CEO for 25 years. Zilke is a 15-year veteran of ASE. Other changes within the organization include the promotion of Trish Serratore to senior vice president and the extension of Bill Kersten’s tenure as president of the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation. Originally set to retire in 2008, Kersten has agreed to remain in his position to continue the work he began in 2005.
Tower Automotive CEO Elected to Ashland Inc. Board
Kathleen Ligocki, president and CEO of Tower Automotive, has been elected to the board of directors of Ashland Inc.
