Paccar Vice Chairman Plimpton to Address Heavy Duty Dialogue ’09

Plimpton's address will feature Paccar's view of the future of the commercial vehicle industry from a global manufacturer's perspective.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Paccar Inc. Vice Chairman Thomas Plimpton will be a featured speaker at Heavy Duty Dialogue ’09 (HDD’09).  A 30 year veteran of the industry, Plimpton brings an extensive background to the Heavy Duty Dialogue audience, including assignments in three Paccar divisions in the U.K. and the U.S.

Plimpton’s address will feature Paccar’s view of the future of the commercial vehicle industry from a global manufacturer’s perspective. As leader of a highly respected and innovative truck OEM, Plimpton has a unique perspective on the industry and will provide an interesting insight for the annual conference, according to conference organizers.

“We are pleased to have Tom Plimpton address our members and attendees at Heavy Duty Dialogue ’09," said Tim Kraus, president and COO of Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association. "His and Paccar’s view on the direction of the industry will kick-off and set the tone for our day-long executive conference.”

The HDD’09 program content will also include coverage of major issues such as a legislative and regulatory discussion, a CEO panel on mega trends and strategy, an industry forecast – defining the near- and long-term future for the industry, a high-level presentation on U.S. energy policy, economic and environmental sustainability and a discussion on the “developing storm” of a generationally diverse workforce.

Heavy Duty Dialogue ’09 will be held at the Rosen Centre Hotel and the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009.  HDD’09 immediately precedes Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week ’09. More details are available at www.hdma.org
