OPTIMA Batteries Changes the Charge

Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) has announced Stephen Kepler as the new general manager of OPTIMA Batteries, effective June 1, 2005. Kepler will handle the coordination of all sales, operations and marketing of the OPTIMA Batteries product line worldwide.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) has announced Stephen Kepler as the new general manager of OPTIMA Batteries, effective June 1, 2005. Kepler will handle the coordination of all sales, operations and marketing of the OPTIMA Batteries product line worldwide.

As the new general manager, he plans on strengthening the already solid brand. “We want to continue the expansion of productivity,” said Kepler. “As we become more and more recognized by both enthusiasts and general consumers, the demand continues to rise. We are working to increase production over the next few years in order to meet this growing demand for the product.” He also hopes to extend the brand globally and continue to make progress in Asia, Europe, Mexico and North America.

Kepler has gained valuable experience working with JCI products throughout the last 17 years. He began his career at JCI in the battery engineering department working on the original equipment side of the business. He quickly advanced into sales for Ford and Chrysler products and then moved on to become director of national account sales for Sears and Auto Zone, working to promote all JCI battery products including OPTIMA Batteries.

Kepler strongly believes in the selling power of OPTIMA Batteries and the longevity of the brand. He credits both to the people who have worked to develop such a strong, reputable product. “These people have grown with the performance market,” said Kepler. “They understand the industry and know what consumers want and need in a battery. That’s why OPTIMA batteries continue to be successful and are becoming more recognized by those looking for a powerful, long-lasting battery they can count on.”
