Erik Olsen, president and CEO of TBC Corp., will take over as the company’s board chairman. The appointment follows the retirement of Larry Day as chairman of the board on June 30.

“This represents the last piece of the transition plan Larry and I launched in the fall of 2013. As I stated after being named president and CEO, TBC is poised for significant growth due in large part to Larry’s leadership over the past decade. All TBC employees thank him for the countless contributions he made to our corporation,” said Olsen.

Olsen started at TBC in 2004 as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. Between 2005 and 2008, he had additional responsibility of being president of Carroll Tire Co. and in 2008 he was elected to TBC’s board of directors. In 2013, Olsen was appointed chief operating officer and in January this year he was named president and CEO of TBC Corp.

Previously, Olsen had various management positions at Michelin North America, as well as positions with Procter & Gamble, The Clorox Co. and Ralston Foods.
