Niterra North America Partners with One Tree Planted for Earth Month

Niterra North America Partners with One Tree Planted

Partnership further supports the organization’s sustainability initiatives.

Niterra North America Inc., formerly NGK Spark Plugs (U.S.A.) Inc., has partnered with One Tree Planted, a nonprofit organization focused on global reforestation. The partnership, which kicks off this month, was developed to coincide with the organizations’ next chapter in its long and storied history, as it officially takes on its new English company name and supports its long-term management plan by contributing to a sustainable global society.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with One Tree Planted,” said Michael Schwab, president and CEO. “Every organization needs to think about their effects on the planet and give back to the environment to ensure a sustainable future. Trees are vital to our environment, and this organization is making a tremendous environmental impact with their reforestation projects.”

The partnership, announced internally last week at an associate event, provided each associate with a tree kit and a tree gifted in their name. An initial donation was also provided to a representative of the organization that attended the event, contributing to nearly 7,000 trees gifted to begin the partnership. Additional fundraising and employee engagement activities will continue supporting One Tree Planted reforestation efforts throughout the year, including an associate tree planting event.

“We are excited to be working with Niterra, and about all the great work we will be able to do as a result of this partnership,” said Ashley Lamontagne, forest campaign manager at One Tree Planted. “The trees we plant together will have positive impacts on nature, biodiversity, and people for years to come.”
