NGK Names Mark Sprague Corporate Marketing Manager

Sprague, a 15-year veteran in the aftermarket, has been with NGK since 2003 and previously served as marketing manager for the Aftermarket Division. Prior to that, he served as product marketing manager. In his new role, Sprague will continue to oversee marketing and product functions for NGK.

WIXOM, Mich. — NGK Spark Plugs (USA) Inc. has promoted Mark Sprague to the position of corporate marketing manager. Sprague, a 15-year veteran in the aftermarket, has been with NGK since 2003 and previously served as marketing manager for the Aftermarket Division. Prior to that, he served as product marketing manager.

In his new role, Sprague will continue to oversee marketing and product functions for NGK. He reports to Michael Schwab, vice president of the Aftermarket Division.

Sprague has been integral in leading NGK’s marketing efforts. He’s been especially involved with developing NGK’s social media plans, consumer engagement plans and expanding NGK’s product coverage. Under Sprague’s guidance, NGK’s social marketing endeavors have expanded the brand, reaching millions of new consumers and industry professionals alike.

“The aftermarket industry is an ever-evolving marketplace, full of opportunities in traditional and untraditional venues,” said Sprague. “To succeed, we have to step outside our comfort zone and really understand the consumers of our products. Whether they are technicians, performance enthusiasts or the do-it-yourselfers, we owe it to our brand to tell them our story.”
