SISSONVILLE, W. VA — NGK Spark Plugs Inc. is expanding its operations in Sissonville, WV. The new spark plug producing plant will be constructed beside the existing NGK oxygen sensor plant and distribution center.
Based on its positive 12-year history with a dedicated workforce at the Sissonville location and the cooperative efforts of government and private agencies, the company found the West Virginia site to be the best choice for the expansion.
The $15 million plant is expected to open in mid-2008. The facility will be about 85,000 square-feet and house initially two assembly lines and will house 4 assembly lines in total within 3 years, capable of producing 20 million spark plugs per year.
