New VDO Door Systems Program Adds 216 SKUs

New 2012 catalog increases SKUs by 23 percent; now exceeds 1,186 part numbers.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, a leading aftermarket supplier of OE-engineered aftermarket parts for HVAC and engine cooling, door systems, brake systems, tire pressure monitoring systems, engine management, fuel systems and instrumentation, has just launched its new 2012 VDO Door Systems Catalog.

The 2012 catalog now features an expanded program with more than 1,186 part numbers. The program includes a complete line of VDO power window motors, regulators, regulator/motor assemblies and door lock actuators.

Continental has added 121 new VDO Window Motors and Regulator Assemblies to cover the most popular import and domestic applications. In addition to featuring cable operated regulator applications for current model imports and SUVs, the VDO Power Window Regulator line has more than 435 part numbers and offers an exceptional value for consumers and an installation time saver for technicians and shops, according to the company.

The program also includes 93 new VDO Window Regulators, which allow the customer to save money in applications where only the regulator needs to be replaced. Many of these regulators were formerly exclusive dealer items and are now available at a fraction of the OE dealer cost.

Continental says the VDO Door Lock Actuator line continues to provide enhanced vehicle coverage for all makes of automobiles, light trucks and SUV’s from 1985 to 2010 with additional exact replacement actuators. Two new actuators have been added to provide coverage for more than 4 million more vehicles on the road today.

In addition to providing complete descriptions, photos and application information, the new catalog offers a convenient cross reference for collision centers and body shops with its "Parts Link" system that provides easy access to VDO Door Systems products.

According to Product Manager Dave Maclay, "The new part numbers in our 2012 VDO Door Systems Catalog represent replacement potential for an estimated additional 28 million in sales opportunities. The new Door Systems products that we’ve just introduced illustrate Continental’s ever present and ongoing commitment to innovation, quality and coverage. It is our pledge and obligation to keep our customers profitable and ahead of the competition."

Continental adds that all VDO products are made in ISO certified facilities to the same specifications and quality standards as the OE components supplied by Continental to automakers worldwide.
