SAVANNAH, Ga. Great Dane is pleased to welcome its newest sales team member, Jon Jeffries, as vice president and general sales manager. In this new role, Jeffries will be responsible for leading the company’s sales functions, including dealer and branch sales, national accounts, flatbed sales, used trailer sales and sales administration.
With more than 25 years in the trailer industry, Jeffries returns to Great Dane after more than 14 years working in sales and marketing with Hendrickson Trailer Commercial Vehicle Systems. He will work from his home in Indiana and commute to Great Dane’s Savannah, Ga., corporate office until he relocates with his family to Savannah next year.
"Jon has a tremendous amount of customer knowledge and well-rounded industry experience, and is ideally suited to lead our company’s sales team," said Great Dane Executive Vice President Dean Engelage. "I’m excited to have him join our already solid sales organization."
In conjunction with the addition of Jeffries to the sales team, Great Dane announced it is also realigning its branch system to better serve the growing needs of the aftermarket. Dave Gilliland will continue to lead the sales function as vice president, branch sales, while Dave Durand has been promoted to vice president, aftermarket. In his new role, Durand will continue to oversee the Great Dane Aftermarket Parts Division, and also assume responsibility for Great Dane’s branch operations, distributor development and aftermarket fleet services.
Durand began his career at Great Dane in January 2006. In 2009, he assumed responsibility for Branch Parts Operations, and was promoted to vice president, aftermarket parts in January 2011. Durand has more than 30 years of industry experience in branch and dealership operations including working for Fruehauf, Trailmobile, Timpte and Wabash National.
"With his solid background and proven performance at Great Dane, I am confident that Dave can leverage his experience and past success in his new position, and make Great Dane’s Aftermarket Operations the best in the industry," said Engelage.
