NAPA Announces Group Formation to Bolster Collision Industry Leaders’ Business

Martin Senour Paints to help kick-off January meeting to establish new performance groups for NAPA AutoCare Collision Center owners.

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, Ohio – NAPA will hold its first NAPA AutoCare Collision Center Performance Group (CPG) meeting Jan. 18-19 in Tempe, Ariz., with a number of its leading collision industry partners, including Martin Senour Paints.

The purpose of this new group meeting will be to establish a Collision Center Performance Group; a best-of-the-best collection of 20 to 30 NAPA AutoCare Collision Center Owners from across the country. Participants will be selected from those who attend the Jan. 18-19 meeting and then will meet collectively at three, two-day meetings per year to:

• Learn “best practices” from some of the most successful collision shops in America
• Determine strategies for meeting collision industry challenges and opportunities
• Create and analyze group/composite Key Performance Indicators (KPI) that shows how individual participant’s businesses and the group’s average compare to industry statistics.

This group also will brainstorm new and better ways to improve cycle time; hire and retain the best technicians and staff; develop effective business marketing techniques; increase productivity and profitability in all processes, among other activities.

During the January meeting in Tempe, participants also will attend educational presentations from a number of guest speakers, including representatives from Martin Senour, SCRS, CynCast, among others. Martin Senour also will host a kickoff cocktail reception for participants on the evening of Jan. 17.

“We want to make sure every NAPA AutoCare Collision Center that considers itself to be the “best of the best” knows about this opportunity,” says Terry Mann, director of AutoCare and Wholesale marketing at NAPA headquarters. “We want them to come to Tempe, roll up their sleeves and be ready to learn, share and work to make their business even better. Through each member’s commitment to teamwork, openness to new ideas and the sharing of their unique perspective, all can be stronger and more profitable in their endeavors, now and into the future.”

Elainna Sachire, president of Square One Systems Inc., will serve as facilitator at the new CPG’s inaugural meeting and oversee the group’s future development. She was recognized with a “Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry” award in 2007. Sachire also assisted in developing the first and only financial statement “composite tool,” which is used by all performance groups administered by Square One Systems. Square One currently facilitates more than 25 groups nationwide, and its proprietary, monthly “composite process” for collision shops has proven to be one of the most effective tools of its kind.

“Elainna is second to none with regard to improving performance and profitability for collision businesses,” added Mann. “We developed the CPG program to enhance the business knowledge, performance and success of all members and having Elianna and Square One partner with us in the development and growth of our new CPG program is a logical step.”

Participation in this event is limited to the first 50 registrants, with only one collision center being represented in each regional DMA.
