Modine Manufacturing Co. recently announced the recipients of its charitable foundation’s spring 2016 grants. The Modine Manufacturing Company Foundation offers financial support to qualifying non-profit organizations in the United States.
The foundation granted financial assistance to the following organizations: Shalom Center, Kenosha, Wisconsin; River Bend Nature Center Inc., Racine, Wisconsin; St. Thomas More High School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Florentine Opera Co., Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and the Racine Family YMCA, Racine, Wisconsin.
“As the mission of the foundation states, we strive to aid in the development of strong, vibrant communities,” said Tom Burke, Modine’s CEO. “Through financial contributions and employee volunteerism, we make a conscientious effort to positively impact the communities in which our employees live and work.”
In addition to the grant contributions, the foundation made financial donations in honor of 52 Modine employees, each of whom volunteered more than 25 hours with a charitable organization of their choice in 2015. Together, these employees volunteered more than 2,500 hours throughout the United States.
“Modine’s volunteer program is designed to recognize the efforts of Modine employees who strive to make our communities a better place to live and work by volunteering,” said Burke.
Formed in 1995, the Modine Manufacturing Company Foundation has a history of giving back to local communities through the financial support of the company’s foundation and volunteer commitment of our employees. Through direct grants, the foundation creatively and thoughtfully acts as a champion for the communities in which Modine operates. In honor of Modine’s 100th anniversary, the foundation has chosen to focus its grant activity on the broad theme of education for the remainder of 2016.
