Modine Announces New Leadership Appointments

Several new appointments took effect July 1.

RACINE, Wis. – Modine Manufacturing Co. has announced the following leadership appointments, effective July 1.

Holger Schwab will assume the position of regional vice president – Europe. Schwab will be joining Modine following a 17-year history with Valeo, most recently serving as Valeo’s vice president, wiper systems, global, based in Paris, France. He also held positions in Valeo’s Global Engine Cooling Thermal Systems group. Prior to Valeo, Schwab held various financial positions with Thermal Werke, Waerme-Kaelte-Klimatechnik in Germany. Schwab earned his degree in business administration from the University of Stuttgart, Germany.

Scott Bowser will assume the position of regional vice president – Asia. Bowser has been with Modine for 14 years and has progressed through a series of increasingly responsible positions in operations and sales, including plant manager; general sales manager of the company’s then truck division; managing director – Modine Brazil; and, most recently, regional vice president – Americas. He earned an undergraduate degree in physics and mathematics from Anderson College and a master’s degree in business administration from Bowling Green State University.

Scott Wollenberg will assume the position of regional vice president – North America, replacing Bowser. In addition, at this time Wollenberg will retain his position as chief technology officer. Wollenberg has been with Modine for 20 years and has progressed through a series of increasingly responsible product and manufacturing engineering and product management positions, including North America regional product director – engine products group; global product director for the Engine Product Group, based in Bonlanden, Germany; global engineering director, engine and powertrain cooling products; vice president – global engineering and research; and most recently, chief technology officer. He received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering at the GMI Engineering & Management Institute and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Ralf Beck is promoted to the position of vice president research and engineering. Beck has been with Modine for 24 years and has progressed through a series of increasingly responsible management positions in sales and application engineering within the company’s European segment, including sales director of the Modine Europe Heavy Duty Division; product director Powertrain Cooling; and, most recently, managing director, Sales & Engineering Europe. Beck received his degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Applied Science, Reutlingen, Germany.

Addressing the changes, Tom Marry, Modine’s executive vice president and chief operating officer said, “We are thrilled that Holger will be joining the Modine team. With his background and experience, I am confident he will lead Modine Europe through its restructuring, bring continued focus on multiple high value launches and enable Modine Europe to remain a vital part of Modine’s global organization. We are also very pleased that Scott, Scott and Ralf will be stepping into their new positions. They are seasoned Modine leaders, who will make significant contributions to their respective organizations. With these appointments, we re-affirm our commitment to the North America and Asia business segments and our global Research and Engineering organization.”
