Mobil 1 to Be the Featured Synthetic Motor Oil at 6,000 Pep Boys Service Bays

Pep Boys service technicians will recommend Mobil 1 as the chain's preferred synthetic motor oil.

FAIRFAX, Va. — Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil brand is now a featured product at Pep Boys. As part of a newly announced agreement, Pep Boys service technicians will recommend Mobil 1 as the chain’s preferred synthetic motor oil.

“We’re very excited about this agreement, which will help Pep Boys customers make a smart choice when deciding what motor oil to put in their vehicles,” said Gary Eiben, U.S. retail sales manager for ExxonMobil Lubricants & Specialties. “It will be easier than ever for these customers to experience the total engine protection and excellent fuel economy that Mobil 1 offers.”

Pep Boys can now offer similar oil change promotions for its “do-it-for-me” customers that it offers its "do-it-yourself" customers, the company noted.

“We are very excited to feature synthetic motor oil in our service bays from a brand leader such as Mobil 1, as our customers are increasingly conscious about quality and value,” said Scott Webb, Pep Boys’ executive vice president of merchandising and marketing. “The new partnership supports Pep Boys’ vision of being the automotive solutions provider of choice for the value-oriented customer.”
