Midwest Automotive Parts & Service Association Announces 2014-’15 Scholarship Winners

Applicants for MAPSA 2014-'15 scholarships were taken through the automotive scholarship website, www.automotivescholarships.com.

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The Midwest Automotive Parts & Service Association (MAPSA) has announced the recipients of its scholarship for the 2014-’15 academic year. The recipients are:
 
* Conner Kavanagh of Richwood, Ohio, attending Northwestern Ohio University, Lima, Ohio, and receiving a $1,000 award;
* Katie Washington of New Albany, Ohio, attending Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, and receiving a $500 award;
* Julienne Childress of Springboro, Ohio, attending Chattanooga State, Chattanooga, Tenn., and receiving a $250 award.
 
Applicants for MAPSA 2014-’15 scholarships were taken through the automotive scholarship website, www.automotivescholarships.com.
 
“MAPSA is pleased to assist Conner, Katie and Julienne as they pursue their education,” said Gary Murdock, MAPSA president. “We are pleased to be a part of this effort to invest in the future of the automotive aftermarket industry.”
 
“The students selected for MAPSA scholarships exemplify the outstanding applications received this year through the online application process,” said Pete Kornafel, chairman of the GAAS Scholarship Committee. “Through the efforts of MAPSA and other regional associations, along with the supporters of the GAAS scholarship fund, we are able to assist many students pursuing their dreams of higher education.”
