Mevotech Engineering Innovation Awarded Patent

The patent protects the premium brand’s new style of ball joint boot design.

Mevotech LP has been awarded a new patent for the TTX: Terrain Tough Xtreme chassis line. The patent protects the premium brand’s new style of ball joint boot design.

The design permanently locks the lower boot onto the ball joint housing using an innovative sealing ring. The rubber lip of the lower boot fits into the ring to provide a superior seal against moisture and contaminants.

“Our focus on engineering is what is building Mevotech’s formidable reputation in the aftermarket for stronger, more durable chassis and driveline parts,” said Scott Stone, executive vice president of sales and marketing. “At Mevotech, we are continually focused on making better parts and these patents ensure our customers have access to exclusive, industry-leading designs.”

This is the third patent Mevotech has been awarded for TTXs line of Over-Built ball joints. Mevotech is extending these patented technologies to integrated ball joints in TTX control arms and outer tie rods.
