Methods Machine Tools, a supplier of innovative precision machine tools, automation and accessories, has appointed Tony Campos to the position of Western region technical support manager. Campos will be based out of Methods Technology Center in Tempe, Arizona, and will support Methods’ customers in Western United States and Mexico.
“We are very fortunate to have Tony in the position of Western Technical Support Manager to better serve our customers in Mexico and the Western United States. He is an enthusiastic, technically talented engineer,” said Dave Lucius, vice president of sales for Methods Machine Tools.
Campos joined the Methods Illinois team as an applications engineer in 2003 and, in May of 2009, he became part of the Methods Arizona team in the same role. He has been instrumental in the development of a large number of turn-key projects in Methods’ Elgin, Illinois, and Tempe, Arizona, facilities and has extensive experience in training customers on controls and machine operation. Since 2004, he also has played an integral leadership role on the Methods IMTS team for set up, demonstration and tear down of Methods machines at the IMTS Show in Chicago. In addition, Campos is proficient in Spanish and is the liaison to Methods’ Spanish-speaking distributors and their customers at IMTS.
Prior to his tenure at Methods, Campos worked as a team leader, foreman and applications engineer at Krisdee & Associates, a machine shop located in Elgin, Illinois.
He is a graduate of Elgin Community College with an Associate in Science degree and a minor in Business Administration. He has received numerous certifications including Esprit and Gibbs CAM.
