SUDBURY, Mass. Methods Machine Tools, a supplier of precision machine tools, automation and accessories, has announced the appointment of James “Steve” Previti as YASDA product manager. Previti will create and execute the North American sales strategy for Methods’ new line of machines. YASDA Precision Tools is considered the elite Japanese builder of machining centers and jig borers with a reputation of preeminence in accuracy, precision and quality.
“Steve is a great addition to the Methods’ team,” said Bryon Deysher, president and CEO of Methods Machine Tools Inc. “He has over 16 years experience in the machine tool industry. In addition, he is well known in markets ideally suited for YASDA.”
“The need for more efficient ways to machine exceptional, high-quality parts is increasing as manufacturers in segments such as aerospace, die/mold and automotive, are demanding tighter tolerances combined with shortened cycle times,” said Previti. “We expect this trend to continue over the next several decades, and YASDA precision machine tools are well-positioned to meet this challenge for OEMs and job shops.”
Prior to his position as regional sales manager for Mitsui Seiki, Previti was a sales engineer at ABLE Machine Tools Inc. for many years. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park.
