SUDBURY, Mass. Methods Machine Tools Inc., a supplier of precision machine tools, automation and accessories, has announced the appointment of Fernando Garcia as general manager, West Coast operations.
In this role, Garcia will head up all of Methods’ operations in California, Oregon and Washington. The appointment of Garcia, a known machine tool industry veteran of more than 20 years, is in line with Methods’ strategic plan for aggressive West Coast expansion, according to the company.

Methods will soon be opening a technology center in the Northern California region, where Garcia will be based. The new facility will have the latest machine tools and automation technology with application experts on-site. Machines will include Methods’ new line of Yasda Precision Tools Machining Centers, FEELER High Performance Machining Centers, FANUC RoboDrill Vertical Machining Centers & Wire EDM Machines, KIWA-Japan Horizontal Machining Centers, metrology solutions including VisionGauge Digital Optical Comparators, Tooling, Spare Parts and more. Garcia also will be expanding Methods’ sales, service and applications presence throughout the entire West Coast region.
Beginning as a machinist, Garcia has been involved in the manufacturing industry throughout his career. Prior to joining Methods, Garcia was president of Ellison Technologies/DMG/Mori Seiki Northern California since 2009 and held various executive and sales positions, primarily with Ellison, for more than 20 years. He also was a member of AMTDA/AMT board of directors.
