Metaldyne Names Linda Theisen Vice President, Commercial Operations, Powertrain Group

Linda Theisen, Metaldyne's vice president, Quality, Six Sigma and Process, has been appointed vice president, Commercial Operations for the Powertrain Group. Theisen replaces Doug Grimm, who has left Metaldyne to join another organization. Theisen will report to Tom Chambers, president, Powertrain Group.

PLYMOUTH, MI — Linda Theisen, Metaldyne’s vice president, Quality, Six Sigma and Process, has been appointed vice president, Commercial Operations for the Powertrain Group. Theisen replaces Doug Grimm, who has left Metaldyne to join another organization. Theisen will report to Tom Chambers, president, Powertrain Group.

In this role, Theisen will be responsible for sales, purchasing and program management activities within the Powertrain Group, working closely with the group’s customers and suppliers.

Theisen joined Metaldyne in 2003 as vice president of Supply Chain Management. Last year, she was appointed to her most recent position where she was responsible for Metaldyne’s quality initiatives, Metaldyne University and the company’s focus on Six Sigma, including implementing process improvements in key operational and commercial areas.

Before joining Metaldyne, Theisen was vice president, Purchasing, for AutoAlliance International, a Mazda Motors/Ford Motor Company joint venture. Prior to AutoAlliance, Theisen worked in various purchasing positions for Ford including director, interior and electrical purchasing for Ford Europe in London, England, for two years. She also served as purchasing manager, powertrain operations; supervisor, strategic planning, purchasing, and buyer, production purchasing at Ford.

Theisen holds a master’s degree in labor relations as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in packaging engineering from Michigan State University. She resides in Livonia with her husband and three children.

During a transition period, Theisen will continue to oversee quality, Six Sigma and process until a replacement has been named.
