MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers Announces 2024 Global Summit Theme

The Global Summit will take place Feb. 1-2, 2024, in Hollywood Beach, FL.

MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers and the organizing council, the Overseas Automotive Council (OAC), announced the 2024 Global Summit, the industry’s premier global event, will take place February 1-2, 2024, in scenic Hollywood Beach, Florida.

This year’s theme is both retrospective and visionary: 100 Years of History to Guide the Future of Global Aftermarket. As the global automotive industry stands at the intersection of legacy and innovation, this event will be an unmissable celebration of past successes and forward-looking strategies, MEMA says.

Highlights include:

  • Laila Afas, global director of public policy for Toyota, will cover geopolitics and the transformation of Europe’s auto industry from ICE to electrified powertrains
  • Eugene Laney, president and CEO of the American Association of Exporters and Importers, will share how trade and environmental policy affect global companies and how they can prepare for the future
  • John Price, managing director of Americas Aftermarket Intelligence, is back by popular demand to update attendees on geopolitical and social developments across Latin American countries
  • Teresa Carral, director of Grupo Ciosa, one of the largest distribution centers in Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica, will be presenting on Grupo Ciosa’s business model and expansion as well as their operations in Latin America

“The 2024 Global Summit isn’t simply a reflection of the past century’s achievements; it’s our launchpad to shape what’s next,” commented Ben Brucato, vice president of engagement, MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers. “Seen as the premier global aftermarket event, it will be more than just a backdrop for discussions; it’s the epicenter of a transformative global vision. Truly, the Global Summit is an event you can’t afford to miss.”
