RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. McGladrey, one of the top six auditing, tax and advisory firms, which employs a dedicated technology practice, will facilitate the manufacturer-only session on Monday, Oct. 17 at the 2011 Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) Technology Council (MTC) Fall Conference.
“The purpose of the session is to facilitate dialogue and cooperation among suppliers in order to better focus on technology issues,” said Chris Gardner, MTC group executive and vice president, programs and member services, for the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA). “Through McGladrey’s leadership, aftermarket suppliers will address the opportunities and challenges in a unique setting.”
“Implementing and managing the next generation of technologies to best support customer needs and drive new business growth can be challenging,” said Tim Calahan, managing director, Technology Solutions Consulting, McGladrey. “We will utilize research and best practices learned in other manufacturing verticals to assist attendees in developing new strategies for achieving technology excellence through the facilitation of interactive exercises.”
Calahan also will present new data on leading technology opportunities, such as cloud computing, virtualization, mobile apps, IT management and BI. He also will define each technology and its role in strategic business decisions.
With the theme of “Strategy over Tactical = Success,” the MTC Fall Conference taking place Sunday, Oct. 16 to Wednesday, Oct. 19 is specifically designed to help technology professionals better prepare for the long-term.
The first registration for MTC member companies is free, and additional employees can attend at a discounted rate. Channel partners (warehouse distributors, program groups and retailers) can attend for half the normal registration fee.
More details, the conference agenda and registration information are available on the Fall Conference page of the MTC website.
