COMPTON, Calif. — Silla Automotive LLC has appointed Mark Hallsman its new president and CEO. Previously, Hallsman was president and CEO of MotorVac Technologies Inc. for nine years, until the company was acquired and moved in 2010. Soon after, Hallsman became a consultant to several automotive industry companies, including Silla, until he was asked by the company’s board of directors to become CEO.
Silla was founded in 1981 and is a supplier of automotive replacement parts to the aftermarket, including radiators, condensers, fan assemblies, gas tanks, fuel pumps, oil pans and specialty products. The company has 180 employees located at its 75,000-square-foot, ISO 9001-certified distribution facility and at 35 branch locations servicing major markets throughout the United States.
The company’s main factory is an 850,000-square-foot, ISO/TS 16949-certified facility located in China with 250 employees and a production capacity that allows Silla to stock more than 300,000 radiators and condensers, covering 98 percent of the vehicles on the road. The company also has affiliations with several other Asian factories that supply various automotive replacement parts.
In his new role at Silla, Hallsman will focus on further growing the company by expanding its product line, adding new distribution channels and increasing sales into other countries.
“Silla is a strong platform company with a proven track record of supplying high-quality parts for over 30 years and maintaining many long-standing relationships in the industry,” Hallsman said.
