RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. Lisa Henkel, end market development manager, Gates Corp., was elected as chairperson of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) Technology Council (ATC) at the council’s recent Fall Conference in Marco Island, Fla.
Ron Haimbaugh, data content manager of ATP, has joined as a new member of the ATC Board of Directors. Susan Ulrey, executive director, e-commerce and sales operations, Tenneco Automotive, will assume the role of ATC chairperson emeritus.
“AASA thanks Susan for her strong leadership these past two years as the ATC launched new committees and initiatives with direct benefits for members,” said Chris Gardner, AASA vice president and manager of the ATC. “Lisa already is working to enhance ATC’s value and execute the three-year strategic plan that Susan helped develop. The addition of Ron to the board will supplement the leadership Susan and Lisa are providing to the ATC.”
Continuing as ATC board members are:
· Brent Berman, manager, digital marketing and e-data, North America, Federal-Mogul
· Ray Nicholas, vice president, information technology, Standard Motor Products
Jim Schwinn, director of IT, Schaeffler Group, is leaving the ATC Board after completing his terms as board member and chairman.
“Technology is truly an integral element of all business planning, meeting customer requirements and enabling aftermarket manufacturers to become more profitable,” said Gardner. “Jim helped our board the past few years strengthen ATC’s position in supporting members’ efforts to utilize technology for these purposes.”
