The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the heavy-duty division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), has announced that Dr. Michio Kaku will serve as keynote speaker at the sixth annual Commercial Vehicle Outlook, to be held Aug. 26-27 immediately preceding the opening of the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) in Dallas.
Dr. Kaku will be using his expertise as a futurist to discuss advances in technology and what this could mean for the trucking industry. His presentation will take place at 12:30pm on Aug. 26.
Dr. Kaku is one of the most widely recognized figures in science in the world today. He is an internationally recognized authority in two areas. The first is Einstein’s unified field theory, which Kaku is attempting to complete. The other with predicting trends affecting business, commerce and finance based on the latest research in science. Presented jointly by the HDMA and Randall-Reilly Media, the Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference will be held Aug. 26-27, the days prior to and the opening day of GATS. Registration begins at 11 a.m., Aug. 26, followed by a networking lunch. A networking reception will be held immediately following the program on that evening. The conference will end at noon on Thursday when GATS opens. The event is sponsored by Detroit and Freightliner Trucks.
