AKRON, OH — Ken-Tool, automotive specialty hand tools manufacturer, has appointed Rockford Tyson as its new director of marketing and sales. In his new position, Tyson will oversee all marketing and sales activities for the company and will report to Alec Pendleton, president.
Tyson joins Ken Tool from Stride Tool Inc., where he has held various positions since 1997, including director of marketing. Previously, he was consumer marketing manager for the Ridge Tool Co. His experience also includes 17 years of marketing, sales and engineering positions with tire manufacturers such as Michelin, Dunlop and BFGoodrich.

Tyson received his MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tri-State University. He is a member of Sales and Marketing Executives International of Akron (OH) and serves on its board.
