John Murphy Promoted to VP of Sales, Eastern Region for Beck/Arnley

SMYRNA, TN – Beck/Arnley has promoted John Murphy to vice president of sales, eastern region. In this position, Murphy is responsible for all company sales in the eastern U.S. He will oversee Beck/Arnley’s district managers and independent sales agencies, as well as call on current warehouse distributor customers and prospect for new business.

"With the launch of our new segmented sales force, it was important that we found an individual with vast aftermarket experience, professionalism and drive to service our supply chain partners and to guide our team,” said Vincent McMahon, vice president and general manager. “John embodies these ideals, and we are excited about his expanded new role."

Murphy began his career with Chevrolet Motor Division in 1969 as a management trainee and plant foreman. His first aftermarket position was as a sales representative for McCord Corp. in 1971. He was promoted to district manager in 1972, to zone manager in 1975 and to regional manager in 1982. Murphy received awards for district manager of the year and regional manager of the year while with McCord.

Prior to joining Beck/Arnley in 2003 as a regional business director, Murphy served as regional manager for Clevite Engine Parts and BWD Automotive. Murphy received a bachelor of science degree from Niagara University and several management certificates from General Motors Institute and the University of New Hampshire.
