RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC — Jeremy Denton has joined the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) in the new position of group executive for the association’s Management Services Group (MSG). His responsibilities will initially include serving as executive director of the Filter Manufacturers Council (FMC) and of the Motor Vehicle Lighting Council (MVLC).
Denton’s duties include membership recruitment and development of programs and services for the FMC and MVLC, which are product line groups of MEMA. Founded in 1971, FMC represents manufacturers of vehicular and industrial filtration products. The MVLC, founded in 2003, represents motor vehicle lighting manufacturers.
Denton will also assist with client services for all MEMA product-line councils and independent associations managed through MSG. In addition to FMC and MVLC, organizations managed by MSG include: the Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS), Brake Manufacturers Council (BMC), Transportation and Safety Equipment Institute (TSEI) and the Truck Manufacturers Council (TMC).
Before joining MEMA, Denton worked for the Personal Communications Industry Association (PCIA) as the director of industry affairs. He holds a master’s degree in public policy from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Arkansas.
