Inteva Products Expands Global Presence

Inteva opens new facilities in Romania and China, while relocating its Solingen, Germany, facility.

inteva-logoTROY, Mich. – Inteva Products, a global automotive supplier of engineered components and systems, is expanding its global presence with the opening of two new manufacturing plants in Oradea, Romania, and Wuhan, China. The company also announced it is relocating its Wuppertal Technical Center to a new larger facility in Solingen, Germany.

The new facility in Oradea, Romania, is Inteva’s second manufacturing facility in Romania. The site will manufacture roof system components and will primarily support operations that serve the company’s European customer base. The company plans to hire more than 100 employees and training will begin this month. Production will begin this summer.

Inteva says the new plant in Wuhan, China, has the potential to expand as growth continues in the region. The facility manufactures roof systems, and production began last week for GAC Fiat. The Wuhan site in central China will be Inteva’s seventh manufacturing facility in the country. Current manufacturing facilities in China include Changchun, Chengdu, Waigaoqiao and Zhenjiang. Inteva also has two joint ventures, SDADS and SAMAP, in Shanghai.

The relocation of Inteva’s technical center in Wuppertal, Germany, to a new location in Solingen, Germany, will benefit the company’s local team with a larger office and laboratory in closer proximity to several customers. The Solingen Technical Center will continue to develop, engineer, design and test products for European OEMs. Solingen’s product focus areas include cockpits, interiors, latches, door modules, interior trim, motors and plastic components. The team in Solingen serves Daimler, Volkswagen, BMW and other European customers.
