Inaugural BodyShop Business Waterborne Conference Takes Place Aug. 13-14

AKRON, Ohio – Babcox Publications is pleased to announce the first-ever BodyShop Business Waterborne Conference in Huron, Ohio. This event, hosted by BodyShop Business magazine, and sponsored by BASF, DuPont, AkzoNobel, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, Garmat, SprayTECH and Global Finishing, will allow collision repair shops firsthand access to all the information needed to convert to environmentally friendly, low-VOC waterborne paint systems – a greener alternative to today’s solvent-based paints.

During the conference, participants will hear from shop owners and experts who have already made the conversion to waterborne paints and from government agencies regulating the use of waterborne paints, including the Environmental Protection Agency. This valuable information will help shop owners understand and plan for their conversion to the greener products, the use of which is likely to be mandated nationwide in the coming years.

“All of us here at BodyShop Business are excited to provide this valuable information to the collision repair industry,” said BodyShop Business Publisher Scott Shriber. “Obviously, with the excellent response and registration we’ve received, the industry is ready and in need of this type of forum to learn more about waterborne products.”

The event is being held at the Sawmill Creek Resort and Conference Center Aug. 13-14 in Huron, Ohio. There are already more than 150 participants registered from across the country.
