Horizon Global Appoints Ruthanne Largent As Chief Information Officer

In this newly created role, Largent will have global responsibility for Horizon Global’s information technology organization, driving operational excellence within the IT function and across the enterprise.

Horizon GlobalHorizon Global Corp. has announced the appointment of Ruthanne Largent as chief information officer. In this newly created role, Largent will have global responsibility for Horizon Global’s information technology organization, driving operational excellence within the IT function and across the enterprise. She will direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems in support of corporate goals and compliance requirements, providing a global technology structure and platform to improve performance throughout multiple office and plant locations.

“Ruthanne has the background and skills to take on this position, with over 30 years of experience in information technology. Her appointment to this newly created role demonstrates our continued focus on the role of technology as a driver of innovation,” said A. Mark Zeffiro, president and CEO of Horizon Global. “Ruthanne will be instrumental in advancing the organization’s information technology infrastructure to further our strategic initiatives. Ruthanne will be a valuable leader and we welcome her to Horizon Global.”

Largent’s experience includes leading operational teams, directing and implementing complex, large-scale projects, managing budgets, defining and improving business processes and procedures and establishing operational standards. Prior to joining Horizon Global, Largent served as assistant vice president, information technology at MGM Grand Detroit since 2005, responsible for IT infrastructure, expansion efforts and technology improvements. She also held leadership positions at Border’s Group Inc. and Mechanical Dynamics Inc. and began her career at Electronic Data Systems.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She is a board member of the Society of Information Management and is a member of the Michigan Council of Women in Technology.

Largent will report to Zeffiro and will be based at Horizon Global’s corporate headquarters in Troy, Michigan.
