Hippe Gets Key Conti Promotion

Alan Hippe, Continental AG’s CFO and executive board member and head of Continental Tire North America (CTNA), appears to be on the fast track.

Hippe, 41, will take over as head of Conti’s passenger/light truck tire division as of April 1, and will add responsibility for the company’s rubber parts group later this year. He will succeed Manfred Wennemer, executive board chairman, in leading the tire unit, which may put him in line to succeed Wennemer, 60, as chairman.

Hippe will continue as CFO until a replacement is named, the company said. He will take over the rubber products operations in September upon the retirement of Gerhard Lerch.

GPC Leadership Transition Paul Donahue Will Stengel

Genuine Parts Company announced that Paul D. Donahue will transition from chairman and CEO to executive chairman, effective June 3, 2024. At that time, William P. Stengel, II, currently president and COO, will succeed Donahue as president and CEO of GPC and will serve as a member of the board of directors.
