Hehman, Barnes Promoted at Delco Remy

ANDERSON, IN – Delco Remy has promoted two executives as part of a strategic expansion of its sales and marketing efforts in the heavy duty market.

Rick Hehman has been appointed marketing director for Delco Remy. Hehman joined Remy in 1999 and has had direct customer responsibility for major engine builders, as well as hybrid drives. In his new role, Hehman will be responsible for all facets of the marketing department including: planning and implementing marketing strategy consistent with the company’s sales plan, new product launches, marketing services, collateral material, trade shows and customer communications.

Hehman has his BA degree from Purdue University and an MBA from Butler University.

Tim Barnes will become aftermarket product manager for Delco Remy. Barnes joined Remy in 1995 and most recently was the Midwest regional sales and service manager. Barnes will be responsible for key aftermarket product launches and customer programs. He graduated from Purdue University with a BS degree and holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan.

Joe Plomin, senior vice president of Remy Inc., announced the two appointments.

“We feel that these two additions to our marketing effort brings real customer sensitivity and will be a critical factor to meeting our customer and profit objectives in 2007 and beyond,” said Plomin. “Both Rick and Tim will help assure successful introduction and launch of new products and features to our heavy duty OE and aftermarket customers.”

Both Hehman and Barnes will be based at Remy’s Anderson, IN, headquarters.
