HDMA to Host Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference at GATS

Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference 2010 will provide critical information for all segments of the commercial vehicle business, including fleet executives, owner operators, truck OEMs, component suppliers and parts and service professionals.

DALLAS, Texas — The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) will present the Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference (CVOC) Aug. 25-26, in conjunction with the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas. The CVOC will bring together industry experts to share real-world insights on the state of the recovery and what the industry must do to survive and thrive in the fourth quarter and beyond.

Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference 2010 will provide critical information for all segments of the commercial vehicle business, including fleet executives, owner operators, truck OEM’s, component suppliers and parts and service professionals.

“The Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference promises to be a high-level event that will attract even more key decision makers to GATS and will bring additional informational and networking opportunities to exhibitors and attendees,” says Alan Sims, GATS vice president/executive director. “This new conference, in addition to our existing TruckSmart Summit educational sessions, means GATS will truly offer something for every aspect of the trucking industry.”

“We recognize GATS as an event where HDMA can further support our members and reach an expanded audience, which will benefit from our program,” said Timothy Kraus, HDMA president and chief operating officer. “Our goal is to bring vehicle manufacturers, component suppliers, parts and service providers and end-user fleet customers together for a day of information sharing and networking.”

CVOC 2010 begins at 11a.m. CT on Wednesday, Aug. 25 with an industry networking lunch immediately followed by four sessions and a networking reception. The event resumes at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, with a networking continental breakfast, and two sessions with completion at noon.

Session topics will include:

• A keynote address by a major truck manufacturer;
