RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC Industry veteran Mark Iasiello has been promoted to the position of vice president, member development, for the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), a market segment association of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA).
Iasiello, who joined HDMA and MEMA in 2006, has played a key role in several ongoing and successful association initiatives as the secretary of three HDMA councils: the Heavy Duty Business Forum (HDBF), the HD Brake Manufacturers Council (HDBMC) and the newly formed HD Marketing and Sales Forum (HDMSF).
He will continue in the role of HDMA project manager and education program coordinator for HD Aftermarket Week, a major HD aftermarket industry event sponsored by 12 industry organizations. Iasiello also leads the association’s efforts in adding new companies to the growing list of HDMA member firms involved in the commercial vehicle component manufacturing industry as well as additional efforts on behalf of the HDMA membership for governmental affairs activities and initiatives in conjunction with the MEMA office in Washington, D.C.
Continuing to report to Tim Kraus, president and chief operating officer of HDMA, Iasiello assumes a higher level of responsibility for association measurable results and in the ongoing development of the strategic direction of HDMA and its value proposition.
“We are happy and very fortunate to have Mark in our association,” said Kraus. “His attention to member requirements and satisfaction provides a solid base for the companies involved with us. His primary responsibility is to ensure HDMA members’ needs are being met and are consistent with the association’s stated goals and objectives,” he continued.
Iasiello is a former captain in the Army National Guard Corps of Engineers and holds a BA from the University of Dayton in Dayton, OH.
