Hastings Appoints Bob Kollar President and CEO

Kollar has more than 35 years of experience in the engineered products arena, with six of those years at Hastings. He has been chief operating officer since March 2011, leading the company to a record-breaking financial and operational year. Prior to being COO of Hastings, Kollar was managing director of Thomson Industries Inc. While at Thomson, Kollar's team won the prestigious General Motors Supplier of the Year Award three years in a row.

HASTINGS, Mich. – Hastings Manufacturing Co. has announced the promotion of Robert "Bob" Kollar to chief executive officer and president. In addition, Frederick Cook Jr. has been appointed chairman of the board.
 
Kollar has more than 35 years of experience in the engineered products arena, with six of those years at Hastings.
 
He has been chief operating officer since March 2011, leading the company to a record-breaking financial and operational year. Prior to being COO of Hastings, Kollar was managing director of Thomson Industries Inc. While at Thomson, Kollar’s team won the prestigious General Motors Supplier of the Year Award three years in a row.
 
“We are currently focused on successful execution of our growth strategy and see the current environment as being favorable for expanding both our technological capabilities and product portfolio,” said Cook. “I can think of no one more uniquely qualified to manage the operation and ensure the attainment of our strategic vision than Bob Kollar. I will continue to work with the Hastings management team, providing oversight and direction as needed.”
 
Kollar earned his BS in management from Oakland University in Michigan and his MBA from St. Johns University in New York.
