Harbor Freight Awards $1.25M to Trade Schools

Twenty high school skilled trades teachers across the U.S. were winners of the "Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence."

Harbor Freight Tools For Schools announced it surprised 20 outstanding public high school skilled trades teachers across the U.S. on October 4, 2022, with the news that they’ve been named winners of the 2022 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence.

“We awarded a total of $1.25 million in cash prizes to these remarkable teachers and their schools. It’s great to see the pride and respect this recognition is generating in their communities,” said Eric Smidt
Founder Harbor Freight Tools for Schools, LLC. “You can meet the winners on our website and follow us on FacebookInstagram, and Twitter to see the celebrations.

Since 2017, Harbor Freight says it has awarded more than $6 million to more than 100 U.S. public high school teachers and their schools — supporting tens of thousands of students along the way.

“We deeply appreciate the work skilled trades teachers do to prepare and inspire our next generation of tradespeople. Their work is urgently needed, because while America’s need for building and repairs is growing, our skilled trades workforce is shrinking,” added Smidt. “Please join me in congratulating our winners and please remember to thank the teachers in your community for the work they do in our schools every day.”
