Hankook Appoints New President Of Hankook Tire America Corp.

WAYNE, N.J. – Hankook Tire has appointed Hee-se Ahn as president of Hankook Tire America Corp., effective Jan. 1. Ahn also will serve as chief operating officer (COO) for the company’s business operations throughout the Americas including the United States, Canada, Central America, South America and Mexico.

Ahn has more than 29 years of professional experience with Hankook Tire, having begun his career with the company in 1986 at its headquarters in Seoul, Korea. During his time with the company he has held positions of managing director of Hankook’s Dubai office; vice president of marketing and sales at Hankook Tire China Headquarters; and most recently as vice president of marketing and sales at Hankook Tire’s European Headquarters.

“I am honored to lead Hankook Tire America Corp. as we grow brand equity and strengthen market leadership in the tire industry and America market,” said Ahn. “With our products’ performance and quality, Hankook Tire America Corp. will play a major role in establishing the Hankook-brand to be the American consumers’ most loved tire brand.”

Ahn will be based at Hankook Tire’s America headquarters located in Wayne, N.J.
