STOCKHOLM Haldex has appointed Staffan Olsson as new senior vice president of global operations. The company says his new appointment becomes effective on Jan. 1, 2014, at the latest. He replaces Ulf Ahlen, who has served as acting senior vice president of global operations since April 1.
Olsson has extensive leadership competence and international manufacturing experience in the commercial vehicle industry. He joins Haldex from the Scania Group.
Global Operations is the function that manages production and operational excellence at all the manufacturing sites within the company. Olsson has industrial operations experience in the commercial vehicle industry, having held a variety of leadership positions both in Sweden and in Brazil within Scania Group. Olsson, 46, and holds an MSc in industrial engineering and management from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden.

"He has a very suitable background and the leadership qualities necessary to succeed at this challenging global position. We are confident that Staffan has the right experience to lead and develop Haldex operations in the right direction."
As senior vice president of global operations, Olsson will also be a member of the group management team.
