MADISON, Ind. Grote Industries has announced that Ken Hoskins will be stepping into the role of plant manager for the company’s Madison, Ind., operations.
In this role, Hoskins will report to Tom Blades, vice president of operations for Grote Industries, and will be responsible for all manufacturing and warehousing functions in Madison. Gary Liter, David Hocking, Debbie Courtney and Jim Plum will report to Hoskins.
Hoskins has extensive experience in manufacturing operations. He was previously production manager at UGN and plant supervisor at the Kentucky Steel Center, both comparable positions. In addition, he has worked in supervisory positions at Newell Rubbermaid and Ichikoh Manufacturing, and spent 12 years at Toyota, advancing to group leader during that time.
In all of his positions, Hoskins has gained valuable experiences in Lean Manufacturing environments, and is very familiar with such concepts as Kaizen events, set-up reduction, process flow and 5S. In addition, he has been an instructor for Lean Manufacturing principles.
