New Jersey Shop Owner Wins Corvette in MAHLE Contest

Shop owner Bob Mattliano won a Richard Petty Z06 Corvette as part of MAHLE's "Choice of Champions" promotion.

MAHLE announced that Bob Mattliano, the owner of Shore Point Auto in Brick, New Jersey, is the grand prize winner of the second annual “MAHLE: The Choice of Champions” technician promotion. Of the two custom-designed vehicles up for grabs in the ultimate giveaway – a Casey Currie Jeep Gladiator and a Richard Petty Z06 Corvette – Mattliano opted to select the Petty Z06 Corvette, and backed with 1,000 horsepower.

This drawing took place on the first day of this year’s Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas during an in-booth award ceremony attended by some of the industry’s elite motorsports legends and MAHLE partners including Currie, John Force Racing, Kalitta Motorsports, Tony Stewart Racing and Clay Millican.

“We all congratulate Bob for being the grand prize winner of this year’s promotion and would like to personally thank him, as well as the other three finalists and our loyal motorsports partners, for helping to bring to the Choice of Champions program to life,” said Jon Douglas, president of MAHLE Aftermarket North America. “I was fortunate enough to test drive both custom-built vehicles up for grabs this year and Currie, Petty and their technicians certainly worked their magic; it’s a privilege to have our MAHLE components featured in both of these phenomenal vehicles, and to be able to work side-by-side with these motorsports legends is an added bonus.”

The four finalists were randomly selected from entries submitted throughout the promotion. Each of the four finalists received a complimentary trip to Las Vegas to participate in the grand prize ceremony held at the MAHLE booth on Oct. 31.
