KENOSHA, WI — Snap-on Inc. announced that Andy Ginger will be joining the company as vice president and chief marketing officer effective today. He will report directly to Jack Michaels, chairman, president and CEO. Ginger will lead the Snap-on Inc. branding strategy, with a focus on extending the company’s market leadership and contributing to stronger overall results.
Ginger was most recently vice president, brand management for Sears, Roebuck and Co. His 26 years at Sears included 18 years in marketing and 12 managing the Craftsman brand. He has experience managing multiple brands, including Craftsman, Kenmore and Die Hard across numerous categories and channels.
Ginger will work with Snap-on’s existing marketing teams to enhance the company’s key brands and strengthen their market positioning. Most importantly, he will be charged with bringing clarity to the company’s 20-plus brands, creating a vision where each brand profitably fits a strategic need, market and channel. He will work across all business units and regions to develop and implement a plan to realize this vision.
Ginger holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism and political science, and a Master’s Degree in journalism and public relations from Northern Illinois University.
