For many executives today, business travel is a regular part of the workweek routine. One former aftermarket executive, who knows all too well the hassles that can come with business travel, has come up with a clever solution to one of travel’s most common complaints – cumbersome, lost or damaged luggage.

Gene Langenecker, a former aftermarket executive who spent more than 21 years with Wells Manufacturing, is now part owner of a new business called The Luggage Club. The Luggage Club is a door-to-door luggage and goods delivery service.

According to a recent report from the U.S. Dept of Transportation, passenger air travel on U.S. airlines was up 2.5 percent from 2004 to 2005 (January through December), yet the number of mishandled baggage claims was up an astonishing 26.2 percent for the same period.

The Luggage Club was created to eliminate the hassles of traveling with luggage. The company will pick up your luggage, golf clubs, wheelchair, trade show/business equipment, bike, skis, snowboard, kayak, gear bags or any other items from your home, office or any other location and deliver them to your destination.

The company will arrange for the door-to-door pick-up and delivery of your luggage, golf clubs or any items anywhere in the U.S., including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, as well as internationally.
