Ferodo North American Coverage Expanded

Ferodo OE-Quality Replacement Brake Pads Now Available For 98 Percent Of European Nameplate Vehicles In North America

Coverage of genuine European pads expanded to include dozens of late-model Audi, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen applications.

Ferodo Box PadFederal-Mogul Motorparts’ new line of genuine Ferodo original equipment-quality replacement brake pads has been expanded to cover dozens of additional late-model applications, increasing the line’s coverage to 98 percent of European nameplate passenger vehicles registered in North America. The new coverage, available immediately, includes several popular Audi, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen models up to and including the 2015 model year. Federal-Mogul Motorparts is a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp.

According to Federal-Mogul Motorparts, availability of Ferodo Premier brake pads in North America enables parts distributors and service providers to leverage the brand’s leadership among European vehicle manufacturers. Ferodo brake pads are fitted as original equipment on eight of Europe’s top 10 best-selling passenger car models, the company noted.

“A true European OE-quality replacement brake pad is the preferred choice of many North American consumers who own European models, and of technicians,” said Christopher Battershell, director of brake product management, North America, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “By relying on Ferodo Premier pads, service professionals can be certain they are installing brake technologies used by leading vehicle manufacturers and thousands of automotive service businesses across Europe.”

Each Ferodo Premier pad set includes the same OE-quality friction formulation and pad design preferred by European customers and has been tested to comply with European R90 certification standards, Federal-Mogul Motorparts reports. R90 regulates testing protocols and acceptance criteria for European replacement brake parts on passenger vehicles, light trucks and other vehicles. In high-speed testing performed by Federal-Mogul engineers in Europe, using European standards, these replacement brake pads offered superior stopping power and outperformed the competition in benchmark tests for low noise, braking consistency, durability and wet and dry braking, the company stated.

In addition to the more than 200 pad sets introduced earlier this year, Federal-Mogul Motorparts now offers the following Ferodo sets covering nearly 550,000 additional vehicles in operation in the U.S. and Canada.
