STAUNTON, Va. Federated Auto Parts has awarded an Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 scholarship to Joe Gage, general manager of Federated member International Parts Warehouse in Laredo, Texas. Leadership 2.0 is a two-week executive leadership program conducted by the University of the Aftermarket, an arm of Northwood University.
“We want to congratulate Joe on being selected to receive the 2009 scholarship from Federated,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts. “The Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 executive development program is an outstanding education opportunity for aftermarket professionals and Federated is honored to be associated with this great program. Through the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 program, Gage will have the opportunity to round out his knowledge of the aftermarket thereby allowing him to be an even more valuable member of the International Parts Warehouse team.”
Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 is designed for mid-level professionals working in any segment of the aftermarket, including manufacturing, retail operations, wholesale distributing, program group management, association management and vehicle service operations. The program is comprised of two five-day sessions conducted on Northwood University’s campuses in Midland, Mich. and West Palm Beach, Fla.
“The founder of Federated, Art Fisher, began his professional career as a teacher and served as a tremendous mentor and teacher to his employees and many others in the aftermarket,” said Bishop. “This scholarship is a great way to support our members who want to continue their aftermarket education as well as an outstanding way to support the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 program.”
