Ceramic disc pad sets for 2012 Fiat 500 and Ford Focus among new coverage.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — The Wagner ThermoQuiet line of replacement brake pads now includes ceramic rear disc pad sets for the 2012 Fiat 500 and Ford Focus. Federal-Mogul says the expansion comes as a result of the company’s continued focus on new late-model application coverage.

Federal-Mogul also has introduced ThermoQuiet semi-metallic front pad sets for 2011 Ford F250 Super Duty models and Wagner SevereDuty disc pads for 2012 Nissan NV1500 models.

“The Wagner ThermoQuiet line offers highly advanced pad designs and friction formulations combined with superior coverage of late-model vehicles,” said Ken Selinger, director, North American friction, Federal-Mogul. “As a leading global supplier of original equipment brake pads, we are consistently first to market with replacement pad sets for popular new models, enabling our customers to earn the first brake replacement opportunities on many of these vehicles.”

The company notes that Wagner ThermoQuiet pads feature proprietary, application-specific formulations developed within Federal-Mogul’s global friction technology network. Each pad also includes the company’s award-winning Integrally Molded Insulator (IMI) one-piece design and unique Wagner EDGELaser-Shaped Friction technology, which help ensure superior stopping performance and quieter operation on a full range of foreign nameplate and domestic models, the company says.
