The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the commercial vehicle division of the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), has announced Jack Shaffer of Bergstrom will lead a panel discussion with talented industry experts during the fifth annual Global Off-Highway Industry Dialogue conference. This year’s conference will be held on Oct. 5 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. The Global Off-Highway Industry Dialogue conference is presented by HDMA, SAE International, Diesel Progress and Power Systems Research.
The discussion, “The Post-BRIC Globalization of the Off-Highway Industry,” will follow four 10-minute, high-level reviews focused on the post-BRIC economy and insight into the world’s next emerging markets. Each panel participant will share their own experience and insight from recent visits to China, Brazil and India and other countries around the globe. Panel experts include Jesse Lopez of John Deere, Michael Unrein of Dana, Andrew Hobbs of Cummins Inc. and Carlos Briganti of Power Systems Research.
The panelists will discuss many facets of the global economy and the effect the BRIC downturn has had on the worldwide off-highway equipment industry. The panel will take questions from the audience to round out the discussion.
The Global Off-Highway Dialogue Industry conference was developed for, and is attended by, the off-highway industry’s executive leadership from the commercial vehicle supplier, OEM executive, financial analyst and media communities. Registrants for the Global Off-Highway Industry Outlook conference can attend the SAE/COMVEC Expo with their Global Off-Highway Industry conference admission.
