Exide Unveils New Approach To Label Design

The company's new design approach emphasizes typography and simplicity, and uses new mobile-friendly product pages to provide additional information.

GENNEVILLIERS, France – Exide Technologies recently launched its new battery range, revealing new label designs for the first time. The company’s new design approach emphasizes typography and simplicity, and uses new mobile-friendly product pages to provide additional information.

Part numbers and key product details are prominently displayed on the new labels, making it easy to identify the right product. Exide says the new approach will be beneficial when locating batteries in racks, pallets and retail shelves, where it can be difficult to distinguish between products.

The new labels use strong typography to bring structure and focus to the design, making it easy for customers to identify the information they need. Every product in the new range also now has a QR code on the label, allowing customers to access much richer product information than could ever be printed on the front of a battery.

Scanning the QR code takes you to a unique product page optimized for mobile devices. The product pages contain all the information buyers need, including user manuals and manufacturing information. Alternatively, customers can type in a short URL to get to the same place. Visit www.exide.info/ek700 for an example.

“Now, we provide detailed product information right on your smartphone, wherever you are. It’s never been easier to select the right product,” said Michael Geiger, vice president, sales and marketing EMEA, at Exide Technologies. “The new labels highlight the unique competitive advantages of our products, including our original-equipment experience, unparalleled manufacturing capabilities and commitment to using the best components and materials.”
