Exide Technologies Earns Recognition As A Navistar Diamond Supplier For 2015

The company was awarded strategic supplier status for outstanding performance in quality, delivery, technology and cost.

Navistar Inc. is a leading manufacturer of commercial trucks, buses, defense vehicles and diesel engines. Exide supplies Navistar with heavy-duty batteries for commercial trucks, buses and military vehicles. The company was selected as a Diamond Supplier for consistently meeting Navistar’s exacting performance metrics for quality, delivery, technology and cost.

Navistar Diamond Supplier awards are given to best-in-class companies in the Navistar supply base. Navistar suppliers that are selected for Diamond status demonstrate excellence through world-class customer service, along with innovative products and processes that integrate into Navistar vehicles and powertrains.

Exide produces batteries for Navistar at its Transportation manufacturing facilities in Columbus, Georgia; Manchester, Iowa; and Salina, Kansas, and has been a Navistar supplier for more than 15 years.

Representatives from Exide accepted the 2015 Diamond Supplier award during formal ceremonies on Feb. 11, at Navistar’s headquarters in Lisle, Illinois.
