Delphi Launches New Online Catalog Designed to Help Customers Quickly Locate Parts

New site delivers speed, performance and easier navigation through less clicks; site covers 59 OEMs with corresponding Delphi parts coverage.

TROY, Mich. — Delphi has announced today the launch of its new online eCatalog parts locator. Designed for maximum ease of use, go.delphi.com allows technicians and part stores to find the part they need faster, through fewer clicks. According to Delphi, customers will not only find the right part for the right repair for 59 vehicle manufacturers, but also will be able to see all of the Delphi parts available for those vehicles.

With multiple search options, whether by part number, vehicle application, OE part number or competitor part number, the new site showcases Delphi’s entire product portfolio delivering more part data for each Delphi part number, plus multiple part images for easy identification. Whether a Toyota, Ford, VW or Hyundai, every vehicle manufacturer is listed so technicians can pinpoint the Delphi part needed and explore Delphi’s full product capabilities on that particular vehicle make and model, the company said.

“During the final testing phase, we asked customers to go onto the site and tell us what they think,” said Brian Altenberger, director, marketing, Delphi Product & Service Solutions. “The initial feedback was very positive. They felt the site was easy to navigate and could quickly find the part they need. What they also liked was that the site clearly showed how many parts Delphi supplies for all of the major OEMs. They were able to see it all on one site.”

Customers can access the site as they always have through go.delphi.com. It features ACES/PIES-compliant data, as well as images for all part numbers. The site will be updated daily to reflect ongoing new part number announcements and product information additions.

Another tool in Delphi’s suite of eServices is its Intelligent SKU Management Solution launched in November 2010. The software is operated by the Delphi sales team from their Apple iPad at the distributor warehouse or remotely. The software helps quickly evaluate and assign the right product inventory in the distributor’s local market, and as a result lowers the inventory investment.

Using Delphi proprietary research data, market trends and customer-provided information to perform real-time analysis, the Intelligent SKU Management Solution provides channel partners the ability to select the appropriate Delphi parts and optimal inventory scenarios in their local market. This analytical tool quickly takes into account shifts in local market economic conditions, investment capacity by the distributor and regional parts demand.

This user-friendly tool can be used as a stand-alone application or as part of a robust category management process.
