Delphi Announces 16 New Fuel Module Assemblies For 8 Million Vehicles

Delphi also has added 89 mechanical pumps for popular vehicles built from 1965 to 1998.

TROY, Mich. – Sixteen new fuel modules have been added to Delphi’s fuel management portfolio covering more than 8 million Honda, Chevrolet, Nissan Mini and BMW vehicles from 1995 to present. Part numbers include:  FG0958, FG0959, FG0960, FG0961, FG0962, FG0963, FG0974, FG0976, FG0985, FG0986, FG0987, FG1042, FG1044 and FG1047.

Delphi also has added 89 mechanical pumps for popular vehicles built from 1965 to 1998, including Ford, Toyota, GM, Chrysler, American Motors, Mazda, Isuzu, Nissan, Honda, Volkswagen, Checker Motors and U.S. government applications.

Delphi fuel assemblies are designed to deliver an immediate, uninterrupted flow of fuel to the engine’s fuel rail and injectors at the specified system pressure, resulting in more efficient operation. Additionally, where required, fuel assemblies include integrated fuel levelsensing components that deliver an accurate reading of the fuel level in the tank to the fuel gauge. Fuel modules typically include a fuel vapor pressure sensor that detects any leaks in the fuel tank or associated evaporative emissions components.

In addition, Delphi points out that with gasoline retailers now authorized to sell alcohol fuel blends containing 15 percent ethanol, Delphi fuel assemblies have undergone durability testing to ensurethat they withstand up to 22 percent ethanol. Delphi also has proactively upgraded many older model fuel pumps/modules designs with the latest technologies so that the Delphi replacement fuel pump will perform properly in today’s environment.
